About this role

The Field Technician III performs advanced field-based telecommunications installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance across assigned network and customer service areas. This role works with minimal supervision on complex assignments involving optical transmission systems, transport equipment, DC power, critical infrastructure, and associated test equipment. The position identifies and resolves network issues, supports preventative and demand maintenance, and helps protect network performance and service reliability.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain telecommunications equipment including SONET, TDM, DWDM, and IP platforms
Conduct optical, electrical, and power acceptance testing using OTDR and other test equipment
Identify and resolve network issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
