Fire Captain

This role serves as a shift supervisor for firefighters responsible for extinguishing aircraft and structure fires to protect people, resources, and the environment, specifically within the Antarctic Program. The incumbent ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations while managing emergency responses, directing hazardous material incidents, and overseeing department training and equipment readiness. Supervision of fire department lieutenants and interaction with agency officials and the community are key components of this position.
