Fire Equipment Mechanic

Under the general supervision of the Fire Equipment Manager, this role performs skilled journey-level mechanic duties for the maintenance and repair of various city fire vehicles and equipment. The position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex systems including engines, transmissions, and hydraulics, as well as performing preventative maintenance and auto body work. The mechanic is responsible for maintaining shop equipment, conducting road tests, and making field calls for repairs.
