About this role

The Fitter Welder position involves fabricating and repairing steel, metal, and aluminum components by fitting and welding parts according to blueprints and work orders. Candidates will operate various welding equipment, use motorized tools for material preparation, and work with overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment. This role requires reading technical drawings, performing mathematical calculations, and maintaining a safe, organized workplace while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

Fit and weld steel, metal, and aluminum components to fabricate or repair products
Operate production tooling, fixtures, and welding equipment safely and securely
Read and decipher blueprints, flat sheets, and weld symbols without assistance
Use motorized grinders, buffers, and plasma torches to clean and prep materials
Maintain a clean, organized workplace while implementing LEAN practices

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GEDAWS Certified Welder Operator
