About this role

Leidos is seeking an Advanced Concepts Flight Dynamicist to support modeling, simulation, and conceptual design for missiles, hypersonic vehicles, and space systems. The role involves performing detailed analysis of flexible and rigid body simulations, trajectory optimization, and vehicle sizing across a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates will collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into executable vehicle designs and present technical results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and analyze 3DOF and 6DOF flight dynamics models
Perform trajectory design and optimization for hypersonic and space systems
Design and validate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms
Conduct aerodynamic and propulsion sensitivity analyses
Support flight test planning and post-flight data reconstruction
