Forestry

This position supports the operation of the County Forest by assisting with heavy equipment operation, fire suppression, prescribed burning, and timber sale establishment under the direction of the Forest Administrator. The role involves performing various forestry tasks, including timber stand improvement, tree planting, and equipment maintenance, while ensuring effective communication with the public and adherence to safety protocols. The employee works in outdoor conditions, often in adverse weather, and must maintain good physical condition to handle the demands of the job.
