About this role

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking an FPGA/Firmware Engineer to develop and verify complex FPGA solutions for safety-critical aerospace systems. This role spans the full DO-254 Design Assurance Level A lifecycle, including hardware requirements, digital architecture, RTL development, simulation, timing closure, verification, and certification evidence. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-reliability solutions from initial requirements through hardware validation.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement complex FPGA solutions for safety-critical aerospace applications
Develop and maintain hardware requirements and bidirectional traceability using DOORS
Perform RTL simulation, synthesis, and timing closure using industry-standard tools

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another applicable engineering or scientific disciplineMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related disciplineU.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
