About this role

Gallery Assistants support the Museum of Art's visitor experience by engaging with audiences, answering questions about exhibitions and amenities, and ensuring safety within the galleries. This role involves maintaining interpretation materials, enforcing visitor guidelines, and collaborating with the Safety and Visitor Services teams to foster inclusive learning environments. Weekend shifts primarily include Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 4:15 PM.

Responsibilities

Engage with visitors to answer questions about exhibitions and artworks
Maintain supply of in-gallery interpretation materials and brochures
Observe and report safety incidents to the Safety Team staff
Assist in evacuations and execute emergency response procedures
Support academic class visits and promote visitor guidelines
