About this role

A Go Backend Cloud Native Engineer will join the R&D department at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions to lead the transition from a modular monolith to a cloud-native microservices architecture for the Hospitality division. This role involves defining decomposition strategies, building robust backend platforms, and establishing architectural standards for distributed systems while reporting directly to the Chief Technical Officer.

Responsibilities

Design and execute the transition from a modular monolith to a cloud native architecture.
Define strategy for decomposing monoliths into independent microservices.
Build the technical foundation of the new Go backend platform.
Implement infrastructure execution on Kubernetes with continuous deployment practices.
Define and introduce observability practices including logs and distributed tracing.
