The Grid Integration Engineer I supports the electrical engineering and commissioning of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Converter Stations, with a primary focus on Control & Protection systems. This role involves overseeing design, manufacturing, and testing phases while collaborating with OEMs and performing detailed reviews of performance studies to ensure compliance with project standards. Based in downtown Chicago, the position requires monitoring construction progress, witnessing factory tests, and coordinating project turnover for power infrastructure developments.

Responsibilities

Review OEM submittals and system design drawings for compliance
Oversee Control and Protection system testing and manufacturing phases
Coordinate project construction monitoring and site commissioning activities
Define scope of interconnection studies and review performance results
Support smooth project turnover by incorporating lessons learned
