Group Leader: Materials and Device Evaluation

The Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division at Argonne National Laboratory seeks a Group Leader to establish scientific vision and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary research group focused on materials characterization, diagnostics, and autonomous discovery. The role involves advancing fundamental and applied understanding of materials composition, structure, processing, performance, and degradation while integrating automation, data infrastructure, and AI to accelerate materials analysis. The Group Leader will lead a high-impact research agenda, mentor teams, and cultivate collaborations across Argonne, national laboratories, academia, industry, and government agencies.
