About this role

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer to design, build, and maintain simulation environments for testing autonomous effector platforms. This role bridges software development and flight hardware by creating full system integration test benches for flight controllers, sensors, and propulsion systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with GNC and software teams to validate vehicles before ground and flight trials while maintaining complex test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design and develop HIL test benches for full effector system integration
Integrate high-fidelity simulation models of flight dynamics and actuators
Develop automated test suites to validate software and firmware changes
Debug complex hardware-software interactions using telemetry and logs
Support transition of validated systems to integration and flight test phases
