This position coordinates, manages, and supervises all operations of the County’s COBRA Team, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)/Emergency Operations Team, and the hazardous materials program. The role provides technical expertise in hazardous materials investigations, conducts field chemical analysis, and oversees HazMat/WMD training and response. The coordinator manages multi-agency responses to hazardous materials or WMD incidents and ensures the operational readiness of the HazMat Division.
