About this role

The Head of Compliance & MLRO at Aspora is responsible for establishing and managing the compliance function of its IFSC-regulated entity in GIFT City. This role includes acting as the primary liaison with regulators, overseeing licensing and ongoing compliance obligations, and embedding a comprehensive compliance framework that encompasses AML/CFT, KYC, and transaction monitoring. The Head of Compliance will also provide governance over fraud controls and work collaboratively with various teams to ensure compliance is integral to product and operational design. The position requires significant experience in compliance within the fintech or payments sector, particularly with regulator engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related fieldDemonstrated regulator-facing experience (IFSCA preferred; RBI/SEBI/FCA/DFSA/MAS acceptable with strong payments relevance)Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring governance, and regulatory reporting.
