Head of Corporate Actuarial at Absa Bank leads the corporate actuarial function for the Life Insurance business, ensuring high-quality IFRS 17, SAM and Embedded Value reporting and governance. The role partners with the CFO to inform strategic decisions and drives actuarial insights across pricing, profitability and capital management. It heads a multidisciplinary team of 25-30 actuaries, modellers and data specialists and sits within the bank’s actuarial and finance leadership to support cross-functional collaboration and business performance.
