Heavy Equipment Operator I

The Heavy Equipment Operator I works under the direction of the Supervisor III – Water Distribution to operate and maintain a variety of heavy construction and maintenance equipment for the City of Abilene's water and sewer systems. The role includes operating backhoes, excavators, loaders, trenching machines, and dump trucks, performing minor preventative maintenance, and adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
