About this role

CEDA is hiring Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentices for its Fort McMurray truck shop to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on specialized heavy-duty equipment including Hydrovacs, water trucks, and various diesel engine platforms. The role requires working in a well-equipped, safety-focused environment with opportunities for continuous skill development through in-house repairs and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment fleets
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems
Execute clutch, transmission, and differential repairs
Conduct commercial vehicle inspections and safety checks
Interpret work orders and replace defective parts
