Urban Ecology Center is a Milwaukee-based nonprofit that connects city residents to nature and to one another through hands-on environmental education and neighborhood nature centers at three Milwaukee locations. It offers year‑round, nature‑based programs for children, families, and adults—school and camp programs, community events, volunteer stewardship, and community science—that make outdoor learning and stewardship accessible in an urban setting. The Center manages trails, habitat restoration, and green spaces across its sites to provide opportunities to explore, learn, and take action for local ecosystems. Funded largely by donors, members, and volunteers, it focuses on equitable access to nature and building community around conservation.
