Highways Development Officer

This role involves managing a diverse caseload of development-related highway applications and agreements, including Section 38, Section 278, and vehicle crossings. The position requires providing technical assessments of planning applications, reviewing highway designs, and negotiating legal agreements with developers to ensure compliance with current standards. The postholder will also represent the Highway Authority at meetings, conduct site inspections, and administer financial deposits and fees related to highway works.
