Histotechnician, Certified

The Certified Histotechnician performs embedding, microtomy, routine and special stains, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, immunofluorescence, and molecular procedures on patient specimens, ensuring quality control and equipment maintenance. The role also serves as a technical resource, mentor, and contributes to SOP development while meeting turnaround time goals for both LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals.
