Hospital Inpatient Coder

The Hospital Inpatient Coder is responsible for assigning ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes by reviewing medical documentation and determining the appropriate DRG for patient stays. This role involves abstracting data for reporting, resolving coding edits, and collaborating with the Clinical Documentation Integrity team to ensure accurate coding profiles. The position requires maintaining knowledge of MS-DRG, APR-DRG, and statistical coding requirements such as SDOH and HCC.
