Indigenous Cultural Practitioner

The Indigenous Cultural Practitioner role at Vancouver Coastal Health supports an integrated traditional wellness program in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, connecting with clinicians to integrate traditional wellness into care plans for Indigenous clients. The position provides culturally safe and sensitive services to individuals experiencing complex psycho-social challenges, including mental health and substance use issues, while developing community relationships and consulting with healthcare teams. This outreach-based role works without general supervision to deliver strength-based, trauma-informed cultural interventions and coordinate care plans.
