The Industrial Hygienist at Artemis Gold will identify, assess, and control workplace hazards to ensure worker health and safety at the Blackwater Mine site. This role involves monitoring exposure to toxic substances, implementing engineering and administrative controls, and ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations while maintaining a 2-weeks on/2-weeks off rotation.
Blackwater Mine is an open pit gold and silver mining operation located in central British Columbia, approximately 160 km southwest of Prince George, owned by Artemis. The mine commenced its first gold and silver doré pour in January 2025 and announced commercial production in May 2025, with a planned mine life of 22 years and processing capacity expanding up to 55,000 tonnes per day. The project involves conventional open pit mining, ore processing via gravity concentration and whole ore cyanide leaching, and includes associated infrastructure such as a 135 km transmission line.
