About this role

GSK is offering a 1-year Industrial Placement starting in July 2027 for undergraduate students in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or Pharmacy. The role provides hands-on experience in live projects, technical investigations, and process improvement within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Candidates will develop skills in analytical science, synthetic chemistry, or materials science while working on-site in Montrose or Ware.

Responsibilities

Conduct instrumental analysis to support new process introductions and existing process improvements
Resolve analytical and organic chemistry issues disrupting efficient site operations
