Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) oversees day-to-day security operations and enforces security policies for tactical information systems and data analysis enclaves at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport. This role provides cybersecurity expertise to maintain cyber compliance, manages computing asset inventories, and ensures systems remain compliant with the Authority to Operate (ATO). The ISSO acts as the primary interface between the program and the Command Information System Security Manager to support ongoing development, testing, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
