Insurance Authorization Coordinator

The Insurance Authorization Coordinator supports the RN Case Manager and Social Worker by managing patient account authorizations and ensuring compliance with payer requirements. The role involves validating demographic and payer information, tracking authorization status throughout the patient stay, and escalating disputes or denials to the Director of Case Management. Additionally, the coordinator assists with transition management for post-acute care referrals and maintains accurate documentation in the electronic system.
