Intake Driver

The Intake Driver supports the City of Chicago’s STAR program by safely transporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness to designated shelter sites while conducting mobile intake processing. This role involves responding to crisis calls, providing onsite support at the central intake facility, and maintaining a calm, trauma-informed environment for clients. The position requires flexibility, attentiveness, and the ability to manage both field-based transportation and facility-based safety operations.
