About this role

This role provides engineering support for the planning, design, implementation, and lifecycle management of statewide Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and their supporting communications infrastructure. The position involves designing networking solutions, conducting field assessments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop reliable engineering solutions for complex transportation technology programs. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to maintain and improve systems such as traffic signals, CCTV, and connected vehicle technologies.

Responsibilities

Design and develop communications and networking solutions for roadway ITS deployments
Support planning, design, implementation, and lifecycle management of statewide ITS systems
Conduct engineering investigations, field assessments, and technical evaluations for system improvements
