AST SpaceMobile builds a space-based cellular broadband network that delivers direct-to-standard mobile phones from low-Earth orbit, extending existing carrier coverage into rural, maritime, and underserved areas. Its BlueBird satellites use large phased-array antennas and integrated ground/carrier systems to provide broadband without special user hardware. The company partners with major mobile operators worldwide and is commercially focused on connecting the billions of people who lack reliable mobile broadband.
