Intern

The Provider Engagement Intern supports the Health Plan's Provider Engagement and Quality Improvement teams by conducting onsite medical record retrieval at provider offices to support HEDIS gap closure and quality improvement initiatives. The intern works directly with provider practices to locate, review, and securely retrieve clinical documentation needed to validate completion of targeted HEDIS services, focusing on high-priority measures like Childhood Immunization Status and Blood Pressure Control for Patients with Diabetes. This role helps strengthen relationships with provider offices while supporting the timely and accurate collection of medical records to close identified quality gaps.
