The Interpretation Evaluation Intern at SFMOMA supports the assessment of the museum’s Gallery Interpretation program, examining how visitors engage with interpretive materials such as galleries, audio guides, and videos. Working within the Interpretive Media department and under dedicated mentorship, the intern helps determine audience response and impact of interpretive strategies. The role is part of a 9‑week summer internship program that includes structured learning, cross-departmental presentations, and off-site educational visits. It is designed for students or recent graduates interested in museum work, evaluation, and audience research.
