About this role

This role assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures, including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, and embolizations. The position requires operating imaging systems, preparing contrast media, and ensuring patient safety through radiation protection standards. The technologist functions fluidly between Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, Cath Lab, or OR to meet interventional radiology needs.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures
Operate intravascular ultrasound and fluoroscopy equipment for imaging
Insert venous and arterial catheters and wires under physician supervision

Qualifications

Diploma, Associate's degree or higher in Science or related fieldRT(R) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in RadiologyROC - Radiation Operator Certification in the state of KentuckyBLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare ProviderACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider
