Six Nations Polytechnic
The IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of Six Nations Polytechnic’s multi-site IT infrastructure and related technologies. The role supports the reliability, availability, and performance of network, server, endpoint, and security environments while providing advanced technical expertise to resolve complex infrastructure and cybersecurity issues. This position also participates in infrastructure architecture projects, disaster recovery planning, and provides technical recommendations to leadership regarding security risks and technology investments.
Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) is a community-based Indigenous post-secondary institution and designated Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Knowledge located on Six Nations territory. SNP offers culturally grounded certificates, diplomas, apprenticeship and continuing-education programs that blend Indigenous knowledge with academic and vocational training. The college provides student supports (Achievement Centre, Academic Support), research and community engagement through its Indigenous Knowledge Centre, and works with partners on workforce development, facility rentals, and regional economic initiatives. SNP emphasizes Indigenous leadership, cultural preservation, and pathways to employment for learners in the Six Nations and surrounding communities.
