About this role

An ITS/Traffic Engineer will support the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority by performing engineering designs for connected and autonomous vehicle technologies, traffic signal systems, and emergency vehicle preemption. The role involves developing technical documentation, conducting feasibility research, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to improve transportation safety and mobility. Engineers will also assist with post-design oversight, cost estimation, and field observations to ensure compliance with design criteria.

Responsibilities

Perform ITS traffic engineering and design assignments for emerging transportation technologies
Develop technical documentation including system engineering and specifications
