About this role

Justice Peer Support Coordinator at Pima County Adult Detention Center (PCADC) providing support to system-involved participants in and out of custody, including cognitive behavioral reconstruction, education, employment resources, and community service agencies.

Responsibilities

Develops a forensic peer support team that will work in the Pima County Adult Detention Center (PCADC) with the population that cycles through the jail and crisis centers.
Manages, facilitates, and coordinates substance abuse education, therapeutic services, support services, training, and community resource education for detainees in the arrest to release process.
Develops curriculum and training materials for forensic peer support team members.
Develops policies, procedures, and compliance plans for the forensic peer support team.
Facilitates individual and group psychoeducation related to the Freedom Management curriculum.

Skills

Qualifications

High-school diploma or GEDOne year of experience providing mentoring, especially to justice-involved populations, navigating community-based agencies and programs, and working collaboratively with a variety of agencies and individuals.
