About this role

The K-8 Visual Arts Teacher in Everett Public Schools will plan and deliver hands‑on visual arts instruction for grades K‑4, integrating 2‑D and 3‑D techniques and aligning with Massachusetts DESE Visual Art Frameworks. The role includes managing classroom behavior, supporting diverse learners, and collaborating with counselors and the Art Department to foster student creativity and participation in exhibitions and events.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver hands‑on K‑4 visual arts lessons
Manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive learning environment
Assess student progress and proctor state and district assessments
Collaborate with counselors, special education and EL teachers
Organize student art exhibitions, competitions, and displays

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Art Education or Fine ArtsValid Massachusetts DESE teaching certification in Visual Arts, K-8Master's Degree in Art Education or Fine Arts (preferred)SEI Endorsement
