Lab Support Technician

The Lab Support Technician is responsible for registering, ordering, and accessioning specimens while verifying patient information to ensure testing accuracy and compliance with coding and Medicare policies. The role involves performing phlebotomy and managing specimen handling from start to finish, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, organizing, storing, and preparing specimens for transport according to DOT and IATA regulations. This position also requires evaluating specimen integrity, providing guidance on lab processes, and training or mentoring students and new staff.
