Laboratory Assistant-Phlebotomist

The Laboratory Assistant-Phlebotomist at Southcoast Health is responsible for obtaining correct specimens and volumes, ensuring accurate labeling, and processing and delivering specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments. The role involves entering specimen and patient information into the LIS or department logs, generating accurate reports, and performing phlebotomy on inpatients, outreach clients, home draws, nursing homes, and other outreach locations. Additionally, the position requires maintaining equipment and instrumentation while adhering to current procedures.
