Laboratory Assistant

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for collecting and receiving specimens, entering data into the LIS computer, and preparing samples for analytical testing. This role involves distributing specimens to testing areas, performing point of care testing and therapeutic phlebotomy, and managing clerical aspects of post-analytical testing. The position requires handling bio-hazardous materials while adhering to universal precautions and OSHA guidelines.
