About this role

A Labourer at CEDA will support field operations by performing hands-on tasks and operating equipment safely and efficiently on a site in Fort McMurray, AB, assisting with dredging, equipment maintenance, and site preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist dredging crew with day-to-day operational tasks on land and marine-based work sites
Support mobilization and demobilization of dredging equipment and infrastructure
Assist the millwrights with building the dredge
Participate in daily toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings, safety tours, and CEDA’s ICE card program
Move, load, and unload materials such as pipe, hoses, fittings, geotextile, and tools

Skills

Qualifications

2 years of labour or field experience (industrial or construction environment preferred)Experience supporting millwrights and working with tools and equipment preferredProven rigging experience, including lifting, moving, and securing loads using cranes, hoists, and slings (rigging certification preferred)Valid CSO certification or equivalent (CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional/BSO)Comfortable working on or near open water
