Land Use Planner

This position performs technical and policy analyses for current land development plans and long-range land use plans, applying professional expertise to determine facts, analyze problems, and make decisions independently. The role involves reviewing and analyzing land use proposals for consistency with adopted codes, developing proposed Comprehensive Plan and Code amendments, and monitoring compliance of permitted projects. Incumbents may serve as lead planner for specific projects, coordinating the work of lower-level employees and representing the department in public meetings.
