Proxima Fusion
As a Laser Aided Plasma Diagnostician at Proxima Fusion, you will design and build critical diagnostics like Thomson Scattering and plasma density interferometers for the Alpha stellarator. This role involves managing the full product lifecycle from conception to operation, collaborating with engineers and scientists to solve complex engineering challenges in fusion energy.
Proxima Fusion is Europe’s fastest-growing fusion startup, building the first generation of fusion power plants using quasi-isodynamic (QI) stellarators. They combine stellarator optimization, high-temperature superconducting magnets, and advanced computational design, drawing on decades of magnetic confinement fusion research and experience from the W7-X IPP program. Their Stellaris program advances scalable, robust stellarator concepts designed to deliver grid-scale fusion energy with a clear path to commercialization. The company aims to power the future with clean, safe, abundant fusion energy across Europe.
