About this role
Lateral Police Officer (Denver Police Department) recruiting experienced, currently employed peace officers to join the Denver Police via a lateral entry academy targeted for June or December 2026. The City will begin accepting applications on February 2, 2026 and encourages qualified candidates to apply as soon as possible. Candidates must hold current POST certification (or state equivalent) and meet other eligibility requirements prior to hire.
