About this role

The Lead Data Architect provides senior technical leadership to define and govern McKesson's Intelligent Data Platform, focusing on Azure Databricks, AI-ready data strategies, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities. This role establishes architecture standards and data modeling frameworks to enable secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions across the enterprise while mentoring junior architects and influencing strategic decisions in a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain Azure Databricks reference architecture for AI and ML initiatives
Establish enterprise data modeling standards and canonical structures across business units
Design secure integration patterns between data platforms and downstream AI services
Mentor architects and engineers while conducting high-level architecture reviews
Ensure compliance with regulatory privacy and data stewardship requirements
