The Lead Energy Market Analyst - SPP & WECC works directly with clients to drive sales and deliver technical pre-sales support across the Southwest Power Pool and Western Electricity Coordin Council regions. This senior individual-contributor role involves developing energy market models, translating customer business problems into modeling workflows, and shaping regional go-to-market strategies. The position requires deep expertise in SPP and Western market design, resource adequacy, and price formation to demonstrate the value of Energy Exemplar's software platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain energy market models for SPP and WECC regions using PLEXOS
Design and deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept for prospective clients
Own technical content of proposals and RFP responses while mentoring less experienced analysts

Skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical engineering, energy or environmental economics, applied mathematics, operations research, data science, public policy or a closely related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseCFAEnergy Risk Professional (ERP) designationPLEXOS or Aurora certification
