About this role

This role involves developing and maintaining embedded software support tools for testing and simulations within an engineering team. The position requires designing engineering tools, creating product communications simulators, and building automated testing applications using Python and embedded C. Candidates will collaborate with technical leaders to establish work plans and ensure design assurance for hardware and plant system operations.

Responsibilities

Design and execute engineering support tools with common toolsets and User Interface development tools
Create product communications simulators on assigned projects
Develop automated testing applications with appropriate hardware
Establish effective work plans including time estimates and requirements
Provide clear and complete analysis documentation in accordance with engineering procedures

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical/Computer Engineering5+ years experience in software development and test engineering for embedded systems5+ years of hands-on experience with Python for tooling and test automation2+ years of experience developing GUI applications using Tkinter2+ years of experience working with embedded C code
