About this role

A Senior Thermal-Hydraulic Safety Analyst at GE Vernova performs plant thermal-hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses. They support reload and design applications for BWR plants, including operating and new plants (BWRX, Natrium).

Responsibilities

Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses.
General expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques.
Take responsibility for fuel project activities including reload analyses, methods implementation, power uprates, new fuel introductions, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues.
Perform in cross-disciplinary settings, engaged with interfacing teams responsible for mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, or other affiliated organizations to find optimum customer solutions.
Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers.

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university.Minimum 1 year of experience in T-H Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis.
