The Lead Operational Excellence Engineer drives continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across Abbott's Structural Heart business site. This role bridges tactical execution with strategic alignment, leading cross-functional teams to implement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, and Gemba. The position involves mentoring colleagues, conducting benchmarking, and fostering a culture of quality and efficiency within the Medical Devices division.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate site-wide continuous improvement initiatives aligned with divisional strategy
Deliver Lean Sigma projects using DMAIC methodology to optimize quality and cost
Lead cross-functional teams to implement Operational Excellence tools and methodologies
Mentor and coach colleagues on Lean and Six Sigma principles
Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify improvement opportunities
