About this role

The Lead Test Engineer provides hands-on technical leadership within the Manufacturing Engineering team, taking ownership of maintaining and troubleshooting specialist manufacturing and environmental test equipment. This role involves diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and cooling system faults to ensure equipment reliability and minimize production disruption. The position requires independent problem-solving, contractor management, and collaboration across multiple departments to support critical aerospace testing operations.

Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of planned and preventative maintenance for specialist manufacturing and test equipment
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and cooling system faults to minimize production disruption
Coordinate contractors and support installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing equipment
