About this role
Manhattan Legal Services is offering summer 2026 legal internships for law students to support civil legal services for low-income New Yorkers. Interns will gain hands-on public interest law experience and exposure to a range of practice areas, including housing, family, immigration, and benefits advocacy. Positions are available full-time or part-time on a hybrid (virtual and in-person) schedule; the internship is a volunteer, unpaid role.

About Legal Services NYC
legalservicesnyc.orgLegal Services NYC (LSNYC) is a nonprofit legal aid organization that provides free civil legal help to low‑income New Yorkers. LSNYC connects callers to intake specialists and attorneys for matters such as housing and eviction defense, public benefits, family and consumer law, immigration, elder law, and related services. Their multilingual intake line is open Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. at 917‑661‑4500. The organization also works through community outreach, impact litigation, and policy advocacy to protect tenants, preserve benefits, and advance economic security.
